Proving your lineage — then telling your story

Your lineage, proven. Your story, told.

Every generation on a primary source. Every story kept where the family can find it.

ProvenRoots is a genealogy research firm staffed by AI agents and supervised by people. The agents walk the deed indexes, read the cursive at a scale no hourly researcher can match, and draft the letters to the county offices — and a human reviews every outbound email and every parent-child link before either leaves the building. White-glove outcomes at software prices, sold by the outcome, not by the hour. And when the line is proven, the work is not over: the records, the transcripts, and the stories go into a private family archive built to outlast us all. Not found roots. Proven roots.

Founding pricing for the first three pilot families. A human reads every message.

In re: The 188-Year Question

The founding case. Presented as filed. It ran through Texas courthouses; the method works in any county in the country.

In re: The 188-Year Question

Duration: 33 days · Venue: 10 county offices, 12 public archives · Disposition: approved

In 1997, a county clerk formally declared that a certain 1851 court record did not exist. The family had asked; the answer went into a letter; and a question the family had carried for 188 years went back in the drawer for another generation.

In 33 days, our agents ran roughly 300 hours of research across ten county offices and a dozen public archives. They walked the indexes nobody digitizes, machine-read the cursive nobody transcribes, and drafted the follow-up letters nobody had time to send — each one reviewed and signed by a human before it went out. The 1851 record surfaced. The Sons of the Republic of Texas did not have it either.

What the family holds now: two SRT applications approved and three more staged; a Daughters of the Republic of Texas packet ready to file; a 1,300-person, four-line family tree; more than 560 source documents archived and fully transcribed; and a private family website with member accounts and living-person privacy, so the record stays in the family.

So entered. Every parent-child link cited to a primary source.

The record a clerk declared nonexistent in 1997 — a record the lineage society itself did not hold — is now transcribed, cited, and filed where the family can always find it.

Method of Work

Four steps. The numbering is the sequence.

  1. Intake

Tell us the family you know. Names, dates if you have them, the stories you half-remember. That is enough to open the file.

  2. Sweep

Agents search indexes, newspapers, land and probate records — the searchable universe — and machine-read the cursive at a scale no one can bill by the hour.

  3. Prove

Records are ordered from the offices that hold them. Every parent-child link is cited to a primary source and reviewed by a human genealogist before it enters the chain.

  4. Deliver

The approved application, on the society’s official form — and a living private family site where the record keeps growing.

Schedule of Services

Sold by the outcome, not by the hour. Records fees are passed through at cost.

Schedule of ProvenRoots services
No. Service
1. Discovery Sprint A two-week agent sweep of the searchable universe — indexes, newspapers, land, probate, machine-read handwriting. You receive a cited findings dossier, a research map, and a society-eligibility verdict.
2. Lineage Society Package Everything in the Sprint, plus record ordering with fees passed through, office outreach conducted under your name, full transcripts of every record, the application prepared on the society’s official form, human-genealogist review, and resubmission support until verdict.
3. Additional Applicants The same proven chain, prepared with a new applicant’s documents.
4. Family Archive A private family website: trees, person pages with living-person privacy, stories, photographs, member accounts — and a standing record-watch agent that alerts you when newly digitized records mention your family.
5. Records Concierge Certified mail, notary logistics, portal payments. We run the errands the record offices require.
6. The Complete File Everything leaves with you. A complete GEDCOM file that imports into any genealogy site; hard copies of every record we obtain; and the lineage stories we craft, assembled into a print-ready PDF — take it to Canva or any print shop and put the family book on the shelf.
7. The Bound Book An add-on for families who would rather hold it than print it: we lay out, print, and bind the family book — the proven line, the records, the stories — and ship it to your door.

County copy fees, certified mail, and portal charges are billed at cost, itemized. Founding pricing is announced to the waiting list first.

Parties Served

Three kinds of client walk through this door.

Lineage-society applicants

DAR — some 190,000 members strong — SAR, the Mayflower Society, First Families programs, and the state and heritage societies of all fifty states. If the society requires a documented chain, we build the chain, on their form, to their standard.

Families who want the archive

Not an application — a record. Every document transcribed, every person accounted for, every story kept, in a private site the family owns and the grandchildren can log into.

The DNA-tested and storyless

You got a pie chart. Want the paper trail? Percentages are not ancestors. We put names, records, and verdicts behind the numbers.

Assurances

The conditions under which this firm operates.

  1. A human signs everything. No email leaves this firm, and no parent-child link enters your tree, without a person approving it.

  2. Every claim carries a citation to a primary source. Not a hint, not a tree match — a record.

  3. Living-person privacy is engineered in, not bolted on. The living appear to family members only.

The Waiting List

The ledger opens to three pilot families at founding pricing.

Leave an address. A human — not an agent — will write back within a week with a short intake questionnaire and an honest read on whether your line is provable.
